Santino Le Saint Drops Highly Anticipated Music Video For 'Best Day of My Life'

Santino Le Saint; Wonderland’s ‘One To Watch’ for 2022.

Very few feelings are as satisfying as watching an artist you have found on Soundcloud make it out of the trenches. After stumbling across Santino le Saint in July 2016, with a song called Hometime, the anthem quickly became the soundtrack to my summer. The hook has been stuck in my head since and, many years later, I still catch myself singing it from time to time. I must admit, I do have a bootleg version of the song in my Itunes library (totally legal). I remember videos of him singing and strumming his electric guitar. The boy was going to be a superstar and, I was selfishly excited that I had found a treasure.

I fell in love a little more with every song. I wanted to hear more so, obviously, I slid in his DMs just to get my fix. “When are you dropping more music? Is an EP coming out? How old are you” I asked from my random poetry Instagram account. He was 18 at the time, but the maturity of both his sound and voice was already striking. I was truly stunned, firstly because he took the time to reply, but also because he was getting better and better with every drop. Not only was he writing his songs, but he was also behind the production for all of them. But I now know Santino was always destined for a musical future, coming from a musically inclined family, as his Dad was in the Hip Hop group 57th, which potentially explains his musical precocity.

Santino Le Saint Drops Highly Anticipated Music Video For ‘Best Day Of My Life’.

Santino is now 24 and I guess it is fair to say he has “blown”, following the success of songs such as ‘Maria Don’t Call Me’, whilst also being included in both Wonderland and The Independent as a One to Watch for this year.

Sex, love, drugs, and heartbreak are the essence of Santino. If pills, potions, and emotions are blended then so are Rock, RnB, and Soul throughout his projects. Toxic at times, but also so fucking intoxicating. This is perfectly encapsulated by the title of his debut album, Beautiful Disaster, for which the video of Best Day of My Life was just released. I was not expecting the Linkin Park vibes for this at all, but if you are familiar with Le Saint, it makes perfect sense he would take an unexpected creative approach.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure to listen to ‘Beautiful Disaster’. Let the darkness embrace you because there is light on every track, somehow. My personal favorite is Untitled

Santino will be going on tour later in the spring, in both the UK and Europe. It is only fair to say, you will catch me in the front row.
