End of Code - Deep Into Your Soul
By Caspar Louis (@Caspar_Louis)
I’ve been treasuring memories of that summertime festival feeling. The car journey on the first day; the excitement and the satisfaction of knowing that the next few days are going to be completely worry free and full of unexpected and unusual moments.
That’s the feeling that this song gave me, something I’m sure a lot of us have missed in recent times. The optimism of summer 21 has been lost on us as we’ve turned into sceptics of the unknown. The twist and turns of impending lockdown has us looking forward to summer 22, a year that we all hope will be the return of the festival.
“…you can’t go out so you have to go in and down down deep into your soul, before you lose control” the song was written as an incentive for us to save ourselves from madness as we are locked away from all the things that give us a sense of adventure and freedom.
It’s a beautiful song, an easy ride but a deep one that gives you space to centre yourself with optimism. Deep Into Your Soul encourages a brighter perspective on the perceived doom that lockdown has put upon us.
Songs like this keep us in the right state of mind as things get rough. Give it a spin and don’t be so hard on yourself this winter.
