My choice is Offica, who fits the criteria of all the rappers you see on your GRM, Link Up videos but with a difference. He raps in a hybrid of slang, Nigerian Youruba and a Dublin accent, definitely an attention grabber! His first single Naruto Drilling hit over a million views which isn’t too bad for a newcomer. The track was followed by a remix from an unlikely feature, Youtube star KSI.
These unexpected moments, qualities and the mask he wears (which you cannot forget easily!) are what makes Offica stand out of the in the drill crowd. His follow up Skiddibop features Fizzler, another growing rapper from the drill scene. It ticks all the boxes; a viral dance, a catchy chorus and infectious production.
