'Flake In The Press', Strong In The Flow. The Return of GXBOS.

London newcomer and rising star, GXBOS (pronounced GABOS), has hit the ground running so early in his musical career and has absolutely smashed the roof off with the release of his fired-up street heater, ‘Flake In The Press’. But truthfully, there is nothing flakey about this performance as GXBOS goes all in.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Talayo Adejumo, otherwise known as GXBOS came to the heart of South-East London at the age of 2-years-old. Growing up in the iconic era of grime, he found himself strongly influenced by genres including afrobeats, gospel and rap, before venturing into his own finely crafted genre at the age of 13. However, like many artists at the beginning of their career, you come to a certain crossroads of pursuing a musical career or financial stability. Putting music on the back burner for a few years, GXBOS formed his own construction business, but all this did was teach GXBOS the dedication needed to be successful in any industry, and now he’s back about to go all-in on the music game. A decision that may ultimately turn out to be the best one he’s ever made.

As the first of his many releases scheduled for this year, there is every reason to be super gassed about the uprising of GXBOS. ‘Flake In The Press’ is a hard-hitting authentic movement straight from the streets, fuelled with intense energy throughout. Produced over a drill production courtesy of Ace Valentino, GXBOS launches himself through the beat with a rhythmic flow so smooth it makes him sound like a veteran of the game, whilst he also adds elements of his raw street poetics for good measure.

Following on from the release of ‘Rubber Bands’ via GRM Daily back in July of 2021 which has since gained over 15,000 views on YouTube alone, GXBOS’s hunger and determination to succeed is clear for all to see. If this is how he’s starting 2022, it's pretty crazy to think he’s only going to get bigger and better.
