A mixture of English voices all with multicultural blood. 2U4U relays their very personal battles with emotion, identity, love, oppression, family, generational trauma, and self-enlightenment. Their first single on Spotify was King’s of Africa (Tell me), which ended up making it on the 2018 EP Butter. The hard-hitting track pushed the group’s name to commercial success, gaining a lot of Worldwide love and attention.

The track must have caught the ears of some big names since it was even played in the newest season of Top Boy and featured in both OVOSOUND and Apple’s playlist. It’s no surprise the track got the attention it did. Despite its heavy words of worry and oppression, the production jumps between light-hearted keys, soft vocals, and low strings, the cinematic feel makes it the perfect soundtrack.

The 8 track EP Butter, is a strong first large project release for the Warwickshire-based group. At first, you would think these are Londoners but after their personal tales from the small town of Rugby, it becomes aware that 2U4U are just as street smart as any city dweller.

2U4U don’t miss out when it comes to strong singles, with a constant theme of nostalgia and adolescence, the lyrical rappers express their experiences of childhood in a fascinating, mature way and their newest release High School does exactly that.

If it’s to reflect on emotions and politics or just to enjoy the symphonious Hip - Hop. 2U4U’s hit’s the mark and it’s exciting to see where 2022 will take the group and what more fresh and authentic sounds they will bring to the scene.
